Through its state television CCTV, China announced that it is working on a hypersonic space plane that would hold a supersonic scramjet engine, through which the plane would lift up to almost 100 km above sea level, as it is claimed.

According to China Aerospace science and technology, the chinese hypersonic jet and due to its hybrid combined cycle engine can take off from a runway into low earth orbit.

To take off from a runway, the plane would use two kind of engines, whether turbofan or turbojet engines.

The last step that the plane would do to achieve its speed that is taken to be more than five times the speed of sound is the activation of its rocket motors that will provide additional propulsion.

The plane can achieve a speed of Mach 5, reports popular science. By the way, mach is a measurement of speed, used specially for aircraft. As known, Mach 1 is the speed of sound.  Mach 2 is 2 times the speed of time and so on and so forth.

If everything goes well as planned, the chinese spaceplane would enter service by 2030. As usual, it is necessary to do tests. The China Aerospace science and technology believes that a prototype of the plane could be testing in 2023.

There are some doubts about the deadline for the plane submission. But if everything goes according to the schedule, the result will be magnificent.

It is noteworthy that plane could be used also for military services, whereby it could equivocate and work well against missile defense system and satellite.
